Brad's loss was a big win.
At his heaviest, Brad estimates he weighed more than 650 pounds.
He was tired of feeling alone and self-conscious. And he knew that nothing would change unless he began making changes himself.
He chose not to pursue weight loss surgery or GLP-1 medications. Instead, he committed to losing weight with the Release® supplement, healthier habits, and guidance from GOLO®.
Brad's weight affected nearly every part of his life. He struggled with everyday activities, including just getting in and out of bed, and often avoided social situations because he felt lonely, insecure, and uncomfortable in his own skin.
"Before, I felt almost invisible in a crowd — or I wanted to be because I didn't want to be seen."
Brad had tried losing weight with fad diets several times before, but his progress never lasted.
"Whenever I lost weight, I would immediately see that as an excuse to start eating how I used to."
Everything changed when his mother and stepfather saw GOLO commercials and decided to try the Release supplement. They encouraged Brad to try it with them.
Brad's transformation didn’t happen overnight. It was the result of four years of consistency. And he accomplished this incredible transformation all while working as a crew trainer at a fast-food restaurant, where he was regularly surrounded by the types of foods he was trying to limit.
“I love food and I always will. Portion control was probably the hardest part, along with cutting back on foods I knew weren’t good for me. I kept the most tempting food out of the house and sometimes I just had to tell myself that I didn’t need a snack. It was just my body telling me that I needed more food than I really did.”
His approach included:
As with most weight loss journeys, Brad hit a few plateaus along the way. But whenever his weight loss stalled, he refused to let it break his spirit.
“I changed up my eating habits slightly and pushed myself a bit further in my workouts to get my metabolism going again. Then things tended to work themselves out.”
Brad noticed positive changes that went beyond his appearance. He also shared that his doctors discontinued his blood pressure medication and reduced his cholesterol medication.
The physical changes were significant, but the emotional changes were just as meaningful.
"In a lot of ways, it’s like a different world from how it was when I was bigger. I never had much self-confidence before, so having some now is kind of a whole new experience."
Brad no longer worries about exercising in front of other people. Instead, he enjoys going to the gym and focuses on building muscle.
His transformation also changed the way other people saw him.
Although coworkers gradually became accustomed to his weight loss, one experience stood out. While walking through his apartment complex, a group of women stopped him to say they had noticed his progress.
For Brad, that simple interaction was unforgettable and an instant confidence booster.
Being recognized by complete strangers made him realize that years of hard work had become visible to others.
Today, nearly all of Brad's clothes are too large. He's excited to build a new wardrobe — including something he's wanted for years: a tailored three-piece suit.
More importantly, he's looking forward to living with confidence.
After years of wanting to be invisible, Brad finally feels ready to approach someone, ask them on a date, and handle whatever happens with confidence.
Brad hopes his story encourages other people who feel overwhelmed by weight loss.
"With a little hard work and willpower, GOLO can change your life if you just give it the chance. I want my example to give someone else the idea that it's not too late to change."
